Pacheco to do in Cates benefit at Geffen

Singer Nathan Pacheco will work Christmas classics in the Geffen Playhouse 12 ,. 18, with proceeds going toward the Gil Cates Memorial Fund. Event entitled "Home for that Holidays: The Voice of Nathan Pacheco" includes a wine and dessert reception. Singer would be a favorite of Cates, who had been the controlling director in the Geffen before he all of a sudden died March. 31 at 77. Presently playing in the Geffen is "Next Fall," with James Wolk and Geoffrey Nauffts, and also the Alan Alda-written "Radiance: The Passion of Madame Curie."
