Since remakes are popular these days, what about redoing Watchers?

The first and second films were okay. Third and Fourth...

In regards of Dean Koontz's novel of the same name, most of these
books are rather loose, being the key word, adaptations of the novel.
Third was also heavily inspired by Predator it seems.

Perhaps the novel is hard to make into screenplay.

Watchers was one of Dean Koontz's best books and most of his fans
always wanted him to write a sequel.

Personally, I think the right budget and talent (I'm thinking John
Carpenter here) should be able to finally do the book some justice.
